Seven starters on a perfect Monday morning: Whispers, Russel, Lassi, Maestro, Slim Jim, Doc Martin, and Anand, who has newly acquired the nickname “Mungo.”
That’s the guy who punches the horse in Blazing Saddles.
Departure time: 8 a.m.—a little early for some, but we were back home by 12:30 p.m. for domestic duties. Remember: a happy wife is a happy life.
Mounting up, Russel joined the car park club and dropped his immaculately restored BMW. Fortunately, there was just a scratch on the paint of the fairing—nothing a touch-up brush won’t fix.
The OPH led us down Mt Ousley, taking the Albion Park Rail exit, through town, right at the Shell station, and left onto Jamberoo Road.
It was a good, fast run with no speed zones being enforced due to school holidays just mobile cameras. We arrived at our preferred café opposite the RSL.
After breakfast and chat, it was time to depart via Swamp Road to Kiama, Princes Highway, and home by noon.
Thanks for the company, guys.
Whispers.
