Another fine morning for a ride saw seven riders meet at Loftus Oval at 8:00 am. Present were John (Whispers) HD, Perry (Shadow), Russell (BMW), John (BMW), Colin (BMW), Allen (Royal Enfield Himalayan), and Shane (Moto Guzzi). Andy (HD) joined the tail at Engadine after getting caught in traffic, making it eight for the ride.
The destination for today was Thirlmere via OPH, Picton Road, Broughton Pass, Picton, and on to the “Off the Rails Cafe” for coffee and breakfast—a very pleasant spot outside under a grapevine-covered seating area. Feeling refreshed, we set off for the return via the M5 and Heathcote Road. Traffic was light, but we managed to get almost every red light on the way.
But really, a very pleasant morning. Thanks to Whispers for the lead and everyone for their company.
