13th January 2025: Coffee Ride

Sun shining at 8:00 when 7 riders turned up at Loftus Oval. The Harley numbers are dwindling probably because the other brands can’t keep up, but they are welcome anyway.

Bob, Drew, Russel, Perry, Vic, Martin, and Whispers were today’s starters. Jamberoo village was our destination. Five minutes into the journey, the dark grey clouds covered the previous blue sky. We thought this was going to be a wet one, but a quick phone call to the man in charge removed the threat and the blue sky returned.

The Albion Pk exit was taken and right at the Shell, left at Jamberoo Highway where we rounded up the local lycra brigade. We allowed the required 1 metre the law demands (pity it doesn’t apply to motorcycles) and continued to our café at the end of town. Over b/e rolls, we discussed the crap music we are being served these days, back to the good old 60’s.

Our return was Swamp Rd and the Highway. Back on the O P H we discovered the mobile bushranger near Sublime Point, but he was in the 100 k zone so we were safe. With the temperature rising, we arrived home about mid-day.

Thanks for the company guys.
