About to write my report and this report pops up on Facebook. Not being one to reinvent the wheel I thought I might as well plagiarise it.
Great turnout today, they seem to enjoy the warmer humid conditions, 9 riders, with TT, Slim and Smoko Morris on their FJRs, Seagull, Tunnel’s on the Hailwood, Bruce on his Ducati, and the RS contingent of Red, Halfway Dave and myself. We headed out a little late, we seemed to work out where we were going, which way we were going to get there, but nobody knew who was going to lead, somehow Red ended up at the front and led the mob down the OPH. Confusion reigned, as Red continued straight through the second round about at the Berg, and disappeared into the distance, closely followed be Smoko in the silver medal position and Halfway behind him. The rest of us pulled over outside Binners Farm, executed a quick U turn, and waited for them to work out that nobody was behind them.
We all continued on down to Stanwell Tops and into the Royal, We had a great run up through the park, with no blue lights to be seen anywhere (not that it would of mattered at out leisurely pace Col), finally taking a right hand turn, toward our destination, Bundeena. It was coffee and cakes all round, and a lot of speculation about the American Car market, will it become Tesla land, will Space X be the end of NASA, will Halfway Dave complete the ride, and more. After a relaxing morning tea, we said our goodbyes, with most of the guys taking the Audley route, and the RS contingent taking the Waterfall route. Good ride, home before the rain, but not the heat.
Thanks again to Col. Well written report and you can’t improve perfection. I also put my hand up for missing the turnoff at the Burg. Must turn the music down and concentrate.
Cheers Red.
