The skies looked definitely sketchy this morning so Whispers suggested a shorter ride than usual, down the OPH, then further down the Bulli Pass, North along the coast for a pit stop at Austi and then you know the rest. Martin and Russell on Beemers and Whispers and Davo on Harleys, a 50/50 split. We gave Russell’s beautifully maintained BMW (1983 vintage) the hairy eyeball and boy it sure come up trumps.
Speaking of which, our Monday morning Global Summit also resulted in a 50/50 split between Trump v. Harris in the forthcoming U.S. federal elections, although not in the same pairings as the bikes owners. Terrific spot with great food and coffee, overlooking the water on Austinmer beach. Trusting the BOM forecast, we opted to return via Nasho, a great run, only us making up the traffic going north. Very rarely does the ride leader have only the road ahead of him for the whole of the ride.
Seeya later boys, just up the hill from Audley after a really enjoyable ride. Only just started spitting as we got to Sutho but even then, not enough to wet the road, however, Russell would have been relieved to get his baby under cover so he could dab it dry with cotton wool.
Davo.
