Overcast with predicted rain (I reported the same last week). Don’t believe the BOM.
While I waited at Loftus Oval, counting the cars going past as the clock worked towards 8.00 and the hooter sounded, off I went when nobody turned up.
Should I go for a quick run down the coast? No, I went to a Probus meeting. That’s a social gathering for old farts who, by coincidence, had a guest speaker on the day named Ralph Scrivens.
Those of you who bother to attend monthly meetings would remember him from our last meeting and how entertaining he was. After 5 poems, the meeting closed and I returned home at the usual time, about noon, and no rain.
