One thing to remember when you haven’t ridden with a particular group for a while, just don’t suggest a destination or you’ll finish up leading the ride!  Not to worry, I hadn’t been to Caffe 104 myself , but the reports were good.

A total of 12bikes and one pillion (Leslie), which was a good turnout for a “Meet & Greet” so I suggested Douglas Park Cawdor onto Mayfarm Road and Werombi Road to the Café.

We took the back road to Menagle for a change and arrived at the Café about 10:30, finding plenty of parking. I went ahead to see if they could fit us in, no problem the lovely girls saw us ride in and were already setting a table up for us. Apparently another group were booked for yesterday but cancelled due to rain, and they thought we were them??

Anyway, food and coffee were good and the staff , including  some younger ones apparently on work experience, were friendly and efficient.

Since it was great riding weather we agreed to continue on to Werombi and Silverdale Road, passing through The Oaks before the run through Picton town and over Razorback.

At Douglas Park Vic needed to top up his tank and we were going to wait for him across the railway crossing, however the road was blocked. The detour took us all to parts of Douglas Park we had never seen before as we found our way back to the causeway.

After goodbyes at Heathcote 7 of the group headed to Heathcote Hotel for some lunch and a beverage.

Thanks for the company and to The Colonel for looking after the Tail End.  It was great to catch up with a few members I haven’t ridden with for a while.
