With Keith (Gorilla) as our leader, 15 starters on 14 bikes took off from Heathcote on a very mild end of winter morning.
We headed down the OPH to Wilton, over the Cataract River towards Picton. Thirlmere was next followed by Tahmoor, Yanderra, Yerrinbool and on to Hilltop.
At the Village Bakery café we put the staff under maximum load and we departed content and warm – it was up to 21deg at departure.
The return route was via Balmoral, Buxton, Thirlmere again, onto Picton via Barkers Lodge Rd, Picton Rd, Wilton and the normal return route to the farewell point.
The next day had gale force winds so we experienced the best day and, thanks to Keith, an excellent ride choice.
