On the chilliest Monday of the year 6 riders and a pillion turned up at loftus oval. With the sun shining and the coldest wind from the Antarctic chilling us we braved a ride to Cordeaux Hts. John/Debbie, Drew, Bill, Martin, Bob and Whispers.
Set off via O P H, Picton Rd, Mt Kembla to Cordeaux Hts. PS [Why do they call it Cordeaux Heights when its down the bottom of the mountain ]?
We picked the right week to visit as next week they are closed on Monday to facilitate the hand over to the new owners reopening Tuesday.
A popular café for the locals where a group of old guys gather for their morning fix of coffee. We stole one of the group’s tables and squeezed into the corner.
Waiting patiently for our coffee and snacks while the new owners were receiving some training. Nourishment consumed we braved the elements, did a photo shoot and ascended via Mt Kiera.
Nice easy ride up the mountain back on the O P H. The Mobile fine collector was parked in his usual spot at Loftus Oval But be warned, those of you who slow down when passing the camera and then get back into it when passed, A highway patrol car was waiting on the southern side of Farnell Ave i.e. The entrance to National Park, to take the photo you just avoided, all in the policy of safety.
Home before the clouds descended for lunch.
Cheers Whispers
