Don’t know if it was the weather or school holidays but only three of us were at Menai this morning Jim (Slim), Alan (Nightrider) and yours truly. At 9.00 am we headed off for the usual straight run to Mulgoa. From Heathcote Road, it was a short ride on the M4 and onto Camden Valley Way and Bringelly Road. Once through all the traffic lights we crossed Northern Road onto Greendale Road for some clear riding through Greendale, Wallacia and into Mulgoa for our break.
After our refreshments we headed home the long way turning onto Silverdale Road at Wallacia. We travelled through Silverdale, Werombi, Orangeville and into The Oaks. Here we joined Barkers Lodge Road travelling through Oakdale and Mowbray Park before arriving in Picton. From here it was over Razorback, then into Menangle, Douglas Park, Appin and OPH home.
Despite weather forecasts all week of a wet Saturday we only got some light rain once we hit Maddens Plains. In addition to the rain the temperature dropped considerable with it dropped from low 20s to about 13.5 before going back up once we were off the escarpment.
Another great day out.
Cheers, Keith
