What a beautiful day for a ride, sun shining, clear skies and cool but comfortable temperatures saw 15 riders and one pillion, friend, Bev along with me.
I arrived right on 9am courtesy of hanging out washing which took longer than planned so after a quick briefing we set off on a reverse of the usual route tour.
OP Hwy to Appin Road, Broughton Pass, Wilton, around through the traffic lights then into Picton where we followed the Old Hume Highway, the Y towns then continued towards Colo Vale before turning onto Wilson Drive and up to Hill Top Bakery for morning tea.
Two rides had to return home whilst the remainder traveled north to Thirlmere then west to Scroggies Road, on to Oakdale, The Oaks, Cawdor, Douglas Park, Broughton Pass then to Southwest Bar-B-Que for lunch which received plenty of thumbs up.
A few continued on to home and grandchild minding duties then Captain and Rick left immediately after eating. As we left, The Colonel’s rear tyre was deflating so those who had to keep motoring continued while Shafe and I(we) helped Col to get his tyre sorted then rode home without incident.
Great to see some of the scenery form the opposite angle for a change and a great group to enjoy the ride with.
Cheers Keith (SHREK) RYAN.
