Another small group of five bikes: Owen and Leslie on the Triumph, Vic on his Harley, Kev on his new VStrom, and TT and myself on our FJRs. Since nobody else wanted the job, I ended up leading the ride to Thirlmere. We took much the same route as Saturday, through Douglas Park and out to Oakdale, before heading down Barkers Lodge Road and into Thirlmere.
I was looking forward to a Loop Line curried pie, which I consider one of the best. However, the regular cook was away, and the pastry just wasn’t the same. A First World problem, perhaps?
While we were enjoying our coffee in the park, Tim and Jasmine arrived with the Eastern Creek branch ride. It was great to catch up with them, and Vic got a good group photo.
Then it was back on the bikes for our return journey via Picton, Razorback, and Douglas Park. Good riding weather and good company—thanks, everybody!
