12 riders and 2 pillion followed Keith (Gorilla) out of Heathcote for a coolish start along OPH and M1 to the base of Mt Kiera. Over the top and then down Mt Kembla to rejoin the highway heading for Jamberoo.
After coffee etc, Keith and partner left us for more so the rest of us headed back via Marshall Road again to tackle Mt Kiera – this time ascending. We joined Clive Bissel Drive at the top and ran into the biggest moose our leader had ever seen. Keith raved about the size of its antlers but managed to scare the critter off for the safety of us all.
No rain, not too hot and a prospective new member, Howard, turned up for a trial run on yet another V-Strom 650.
