Was another great day at Bangor Tavern with 26 turning up our biggest turnout ever, hard to keep up with numbers as some come and go through the lunch. Nice to see a few new faces turn up like forever young Alan, then on to the important discussions of the day.
We had competition with a table for 40 Old Pensioners on a Bus trip turning up and taking over the other half of the bistro but luckily we were the 11 am starters and we had our lunch over by 12,30pm when they turned up.
SHOCK that a rumor that a certain type of large flying bird person (with a great sense of humor) might be coming back with a NEW BIKE ??? after he FAILED AT GOLF.
TED after passing his 85 year old license test, hurt his shoulder and sold his BMW BUT he is looking for a smaller type bike, I referred him to a Honda CB 500 XL which everyone looked up on their phones and it is in the consideration.
98 year old WILMA a local turned up and had her one glass of white wine (must be good as she does not look 98) walking up to the Tavern every day for one wine and lunch. We promised her if she makes 100 we will shout her a party at the Tavern.
With so many it is only possible to participate with those in your immediate vicinity and one misses out on the multitude of BANTER from others at the LONG TABLE but it is sure worth it. Nice to have SNIPER there even though he was WORKING and had to duck off after lunch.
Sorry to say that the day finished a bit early with the last two (Schaf and Nippy) home by 2pm.
See you at the next one, the last Wednesday in February.
