29th October 2024: Cordeaux Heights

Eight riders at Heathcote on a fine and pleasant morning for today’s ride. After the usual standoff I agreed to lead the assembled group for a ride to Cordeaux Heights for coffee. The route was RNP, OPH, Mt Kirra, to the cafe then back up Mt Kembla, Princess highway to OPH and back to Heathcote.

Good run on the way down with some damp sections through the park after overnight showers. Everyone arrived together at the cafe which I haven’t been too since it’s had new owners. The owner was very accommodating rearranging chairs and tables and getting us all seated at the same table on a very busy morning. My coffee was excellent and I didn’t hear any complaints from the others.

After morno’s three decided that that wanted to extended their ride and ride with the group up Mt Kembla then go home via Bulli and the coast. We decided to say our goodbyes at the cafe and not stop at Heathcote. The remaining five made it back to Heathcote almost together where we separated for home. Good morning with great company. Thanks to TEC Rob.

Cheers Red
