At ride time we had eight bikes and three pillions ready to depart Heathcote on an absolutely beautiful autumn morning. Attending with me as leader was,
Gerry (Bullfrog) | BMW XR |
Rick | Harley D |
Brad (Red) | BMW RS |
Brian (Dutchy) | Tuareg |
Owen and Leslie | Tiger Sport |
Les and Vicki | Yamaha MT 09 |
John and Debbie | BMW RT |
It was a simple and well-known route to get to Jamberoo, OPH, Mount Ousley and then the highway to Fowlers Road exit. From here we crossed the old highway following roads through Cleveland, Avondale and Marshall Mount then Calderwood and the back of Albion Park to join up with Jamberoo Road.
We set the bikes up in the park and made our way to Kings Bakery to purchase our morning tea and then headed back to the park to enjoy our coffees and banter.
The route home was up and over Saddleback down through Jerrara and then Swamp Rd to the freeway. Les and Vicki continued on and Dutchy went on into City Coast Motorcycles to buy some parts, for the rest of us we turned off at Five Islands Road for a ride up Mount Kembla and along Clive Bissell Drive and back onto Mount Ousley Road. From here it was a straight run on the OPH with Rick leaving us at Helensburgh to head home to Bundeena.
By the time we reached Waterfall and pulled over to say our farewells, Dutchy pulled in just behind us admitting he quickly bought the parts and then departed the dealership without checking out any new bikes.
It was a great day for a ride the weather was just beautiful the scenery outstanding the riding was fun, the company was most enjoyable and it was terrific to have three pillions joining in.
An outstanding way to spend a Tuesday morning!
See you on a ride soon.
