We had 7 riders for today’s trip to Burrogorang Lookout and Settlers Inn Mulgoa, not bad considering the weather outlook. With Seagull looking after TEC duties we headed off in misty conditions hoping it wouldn’t get any worse. The usual run to Appin and Douglas Park where yet again somebody completely ignored the traffic lights directing single lane only past the overhanging rock. Not the first time this has happened when I was leading a ride through here so I reckon it’s a pretty common occurrence. The Victorian driver in front of me said a few words and then it was my turn.

Anyway, onto Menangle Road through Picton and turning right to Barkers Lodge Road and left to Nattai and Burrogorang Lookout. The only other people there were 2 ladies and a gent on adventure bikes obviously loaded on a trip. Pity about the weather, the view would have been a bit disappointing for them.

Our run along Silverdale Road to Settlers Inn at Mulgoa was uneventful and the welcome from staff was as always friendly. Good food, plenty of seating and great service.
We opted to head home via Glendale Road and apart from the hoons in front of us throwing beer cans on the road it was a good run.

Finally heading up Heathcote Road we came to an abrupt stop and a long line of traffic. RFS were doing burn offs on the Ansto site and the road was shut due to smoke. Some lane filtered to the front of the hold up and others turned around to come home on the M5. It took a while but traffic finally started moving.

Thanks to all who came today, Great Company!
