Ride Leader: Monkey. Total Participants: 8.
TEC: Seagull.
Destination: Jamberoo and Robertson.
Our ride leader led us out right on time, taking us down through the RNP, back onto the OPH, all the way to Picton Rd for a run down Mt Kembla, before making our way onto the Southern Motorway and exiting at Fowlers Rd and then taking Marshall Mt Rd, which is where we met the road works the first time and then again before Caulderwood. Mobile speed camera 1 seen, from there it was onto Church St and then the run to Jamberoo, Mobile speed camera 2 seen.
Jamberoo was used as a comfort stop, and for some, a coffee stop, with some wanting to wait for the delights of Moonacres at Robertson. On to Robertson, Monkey led the group onto the Jamberoo Pass Rd, but just before the Bottom, he pulled over with a flat tyre, after multiple plugs, glue, air canisters and the use of a pump, it was decided to head back to the Mechanical sevices in Jamberoo, where his tyre was flat again, resulting in the final decision to pump it full of air, and make a dash to a bike repairer in Wollongong, escorted by Shafe, the rest of us were left to our own device’s to somehow find our way home, without our leader.
Thanks to Monkey and Seagull for stepping up today.
