Today’s destination was one that our branch hasn’t visited for years. I led the ride and Gorilla did TEC for the day, and we had 4 riders between us, Lucky, Monkey, Chopper and Shrek.
It was to be a hot ride to The Megalong Valley Tea Rooms, and hot it was when we got back down to Penrith on the return leg, which was the way we travelled out. We headed west on Heathcote Rd, got onto the M5, and then took Camden Valley Way, Bringelly and Greendale Rd out to Penrith, and then up the mountains to Blackheath, We lost a little time at the roadworks on our way down into the Megalong Valley. The Tea rooms were very busy, everyone seemed to enjoy their food and beverages. A good, enjoyable ride, despite the hot afternoon.
