With morning rain clearing, only 3 rides made a show today, we had TT on his Yamaha FJR, Halfway Dave on his BMW 1200 RS, and Colonel on his F 800 GT BMW.
We had the mandatory discussions regarding where to go and how much time each of us had, and Halfway was quick to say, he wanted to be home at lunch time, the destination decided was Cordeaux Heights Café, and the other 2 spoke about possibly headed west after the Café.
TT wanted to do TEC, Halfway Dave didn’t want to lead, so that let Colonel to lead the ride.
We headed off, taking the Waterfall exit and took a nice gentle ride down through the park, as the roads were still damp, and there was a bit of debris on the road here and there, there was even a Chrysler 300 with roof racks, going the other way, at quite a rate of speed, I think it was Monkey’s mate.
We then took the OPH south, taking the Picton Rd exit. and doing the run-down Mt Kembla to our destination, where we had a bite to eat and a coffee.
After a nice relaxing morning tea, when it came time to leave, TT and the Colonel decided to head back home, forcing halfway Dave into having to complete a full ride, for the second time this year, believe it or not, and ruining his reputation.
We thought we may as well do the loop on the way home, heading back up Mt Kiera, and across to My Ousley, via Clive Bissell Dr and back up the OPH and home.
A good ride on some nice clean tar, and drying roads, with not rain encountered.
Thanks TT and Halfway Dave foe the company.
