I attended our recent ‘Learn To Ride’ day, which was great and happened to have a few slices of my, home recipe Pumpkin Cake with me with slices awarded to Steve and Brett for their efforts then whoever put their hand out first. All who tried the cake were impressed with requests for more. Thus, I advised that I would bring a Pumpkin Cake to my next ride.
The day started off cool but clear, hitting a maximum of 14.5 degrees although wind chill made it feel closer to 4.5 degrees or less.
Eleven bikes with one pillion set off down the O.P. Hwy, Picton Road then on to Mt Kembla for a brief stop at the look-out. Back onto the bikes, down to the motorway then south before turning left onto Toolijooa Road then Beach Road into Berry where we partook in morning tea and cake at the Dairy Bar.
After our repast we rode south through Berry, freeway to Bomaderry then right onto Moss Vale Road, over Cambawarra Mountain, Kangaroo Valley Road, Wattamolla Road to Woodhill Mountain Road, back to Berry then up the freeway to the Old Princes Hwy near Dapto and across to Kanahooka Fish and Chip shop for lunch by the lake.
After lunch it was back to the Freeway, over Mount Ousley, O.P Hwy and back home to warm up. Great bunch yet again with plenty of positive comments for the cake and for the fish and chips.
Cheers Shrek
