Hi all,
As you know we will be hosting the Sydney branches ride on Sat 12 Oct from Sublime Point Lookout to Cataract Dam.
It would be great to see as many red shirts as possible to enjoy the ride and camaraderie and to also help with corner marking and the BBQ.
Thought I would provide an overview of the ride (see the map) and also some directions and fuel options. From Sublime Point to the BBQ at Cataract Dam the ride will be about 160ks so arrive at the meeting with a full tank.
Getting to Sublime Point Lookout
From the North
Follow the Princes Highway to Waterfall onto the M1 Motorway exit ( last fuel is Ampol at Heathcote)travel for 10ks and then take the Helensburgh exit. At the first roundabout turn right onto the Princes Highway and turn left at the Sublime Point Lookout exit ,14ks.
From the South
From Mt Ousley Road at Bulli Tops take the Princes Highway exit and turn right at the Sublime Point Lookout exit, 3ks
From South West
If traveling on Appin Road turn left onto the Princes Highway exit and then turn right at the Sublime Point Lookout exit , 2 ks.
Refuel options
- At departure, Metro at Appin approx 11 ks from the dam (turn left after leaving the dam onto Appin Road)
- South BP at Fairy Meadow located at the bottom of Mt Ousley Road 31ks
- North Ampol at Heathcote 42 ks via M1 motorway
