A good turnout today with 15 riders and 1 pillion. Our ride Captain stepped up to lead the ride today, with Jamberoo the selected destination, starting with a run via the southern half of the Royal, back to the OPH and south all the way to the Fowlers Rd exit, we then took the back roads via Avondale, onto Marshall Mt Rd and into Caulderwood, then we took Church St and finally the 60 kph run to Jamberoo for morning tea, which was enjoyed in 2 groups, due to our numbers.
While we had our morning tea, Gorilla pulled out his trusty random number generator to select someone to write the trip report for the mag, our table was 1 to 5, and Gorilla then proceeded to the other table to assign numbers, and we could tell by the cheers that the random number selected was someone from our table, Shane Orr infact.
The run along Avondale, Marshall Mt Rd and through Caulderwood is getting slower and slower, with the major drainage and underground power works commencing all over the place from out the back of Fowlers Rd, along Marshall Mt Rd, and the ever expanding Caulderwood which now also has a Town Centre under construction.
After morning tea, we headed for home via Swamp Rd, then back onto the freeway, with 7 of us taking Memorial Drive up to the coast Rd and having a spot of lunch at Wombarra Bowlo before heading home.
Thanks Keith for leading today, and to TT for tec duties. A stunning day for a ride.
The Colonel
