It was a mild morning as I rocked up to Heathcote to lead the ride to Robertson, Gary (who rides on some of Whispers Monday rides) was already there on his three wheeler, El Presidente Bill followed close behind, soon we were joined by Smoko, Dakar, Gorilla, Brett, Brian and Pirate.
As the time came for departure with me not having a radio, Smoko with his radio volunteered to follow me and keep in contact with Pirate doing “Tail End Charlie” duties.

Robertson was our destination today, heading off down the Princes Highway, hanging a right after Waterfall to take the Old Princes Highway, down until it joined back to the Princes Motorway and south all the way to the Fowlers Rd exit, we then took the back roads via Avondale, onto Marshall Mt Rd and into Caulderwood and eventually the reasonably pleasant run up Macquarie Pass to Robertson for morning tea.
After some good coffee and some bacon and egg rolls, for the journey home, Dakar was going to lead us all through the Tourist Rd, making his way back towards Mittagong, and taking Old South Rd, the Y towns then homeward bound … I hope that the return journey went well … sadly I had issues starting the Blackbird as we were leaving the Cafe at Robertson … when I finally had it running … no one was in sight … hmmmm … hope you all had a good run home guys.
Thanks for the additional directions Dakar and Smoko.
Cheers, Magellan (Steve the web guy).
