It began on Tuesday morning at Heathcote servo. It was cool but promised to be a sunny day. There were 9 riders raring to go on bikes from Triumph, Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW and Harley Davidson.
The clocked ticked over to 9:00 and we were off. Keith (Gorilla) led us out with John (TT) faithfully at the rear.
We went down through the Royal where it was shady and just 8 degrees. We were back in the sun at Otford and then onto the Princes Hwy and across Mt Kembla. Keith took us down the old Princes Hwy, Cleveland Road, Avondale road, Marshall Mountain Road where we got great views of the escarpment. Then we went through the back of Albion Park and followed Jamberoo Road to Jamberoo.
In the picnic ground we split into 2 tables loosely based on hot doggers and those without hot dogs. Do we have a sub-cult developing?
It was a quick trip back via Swamp road and onto the motorway.
The temperature snuck up to 21 degrees at times, it was a beautiful day for a ride, and we did not lose anyone.
